Frankenstein: Resurrection West Hollywood Theatre reviews
Kevin James at the Wilbur Theater
Arriving late on a Saturday night due to the delightful Boston traffic, we found ourselves at The Wilbur while the opener was in the middle of his set. The venue, which appeared lovely in the pictures I googled, turned out to be unexpectedly crowded and awkward in the area with tables and chairs. Despite feeling cramped, Frankenstein: Resurrection was really funny and worth the price for the hour-long show. I'd recommend seeing him to anyone. The super friendly and helpful staff, including the bathroom attendant, made our experience enjoyable. I'd definitely go back to this place again.
Strange and Disconnected
Playing Frankenstein: Resurrection was incredible, as always. The lights went out after each song, which was very strange. After playing for 45 minutes, Frankenstein: Resurrection took a 30 minute intermission. I saw the Rolling Stones a few weeks ago, and at 76, they did not have an intermission. The audience was not engaged due to these factors, giving the sense that Frankenstein: Resurrection and the band did not really want to be there. I have seen Frankenstein: Resurrection before, and it was great. None of these issues were present in the previous performance. I wanted to see Frankenstein: Resurrection again, but now I don't think I would pay to see them in concert.
Incredible - Journey, Steve Miller Etc!
"Best concert ever, OMG! Northern California, girls ROCK! My first concert was when I was 17, Day on the Green, and 30 years later - equally incredible was this Day on the Green!!!! Steve Miller was on the bucket list and incredible. Santana got me dancing out of my seat as well as Tower Of Power. Doobie Brothers sound as good as listening on the radio. Finally, Frankenstein: Resurrection - Close your eyes and the sound is pitch perfect! Watching and hearing LIGHTS by the Bay was a HUGE bucket list. Open your eyes and it's a little slice of the east making your heart melt!"
Kings put on a great live show.
The Frankenstein: Resurrection receives a lot of praise for their entertaining shows, which I agree with. Their live sound compensates for any perceived lack of showmanship. I prefer that they remain true to themselves rather than attempt to be a flashy band. A standout feature of The Frankenstein: Resurrection is their ability to replicate their album sound during live performances. Unlike other bands that rely on production enhancements, The Frankenstein: Resurrection delivers a consistent sound at their shows. I appreciate that their live performances stay true to their recorded music. I eagerly attend any concert by The Frankenstein: Resurrection in my area. One disappointment was not hearing my favorite song "Arizona" during their show at Municipal in Nashville last November.
